TreadReader launched at Tire Technology 2011 Conference

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Sigmavision launched TreadReader at the Tire Technology Expo and Conference March 15th to 17th 2011.

The live TreadReader demonstration was the centre piece of Sigmavision’s exhibition stand and attracted interest from many tyre producers. Dr Andrew Pryce, Managing Director, presented a paper during the conference session dedicated to achieving higher standards of environmental and safety for vehicles and tires chaired by Dr Rudi Hein of Bridgestone.

The paper, entitled “Improved tire wear analysis and service life prediction by laser measurement: a performance and cost-saving study with a commercial fleet”, introduced the new measurement concept and explained the potential benefits to tyre producers and fleet operators in terms of reduced fuel and tyre costs, reduced CO2 emissions and improved road safety.
