HB Dennis Enhances Customer Trust with TreadReader
HB Dennis Airside Service, located north of Dublin, has significantly improved transparency and customer satisfaction by adopting the TreadReader™ DriveOver ramp system.
Specialising in Land Rovers, the garage operates with a high-quality, low-volume business model and installed the TreadReader DriveOver ramp in 2021. It has since become a valuable asset for providing accurate tyre condition assessments and enhancing customer service.
“Before, customers would sometimes doubt the need for new tyres,” says HB Dennis Director Laurence Poole. “But now, we provide a printout of all four tyres, including a detailed 3D image showing the tread depth. This level of transparency builds trust.”
The ramp, positioned at the entrance of the workshop, speeds up inspections and offers exceptional accuracy, capturing up to 400,000 measurement points per scan. By analysing the full tyre width and an additional 50mm around it, the TreadReader DriveOver system offers precision far beyond traditional gauges or competitor systems.
For Poole, the key benefit has been in customer service. He recalls a situation where a client’s tyre condition was verified in seconds using the TreadReader DriveOver ramp, resulting in a five-star review and a loyal customer.
HB Dennis plans to expand into airport parking with a concierge service offering ‘while-you-travel’ vehicle repairs, and an additional TreadReader DriveOver ramp will be installed at their new off-site location.
